46 points from 31 games, just two points out of a UEFA Conference League spot, three points back from the UEFA Europa League spot and even a top-four spot is still within reach. There is a chance that this could be a very special season for Werder Bremen.

It would be the first time since the 2010/11 season that Werder Bremen would reach a UEFA competition. That year, the club finished last in a group that included Inter Milan, Tottenham, and Twente Enschede.
