It reportedly took Vincent Kompany just five minutes to say yes to Bayern Munich. After a gruelling Premier League season that had seen his Burnley side pick up just five wins from 38 games and succumb to relegation almost as quickly as they had won promotion the season before, the former Belgium international must have surely thought the phone call was some kind of sick joke. Why would the biggest club in Germany want to hire a manager that had just failed to keep Burnley in the English top-flight?
