Leverkusen - Bayer Leverkusen have won the DFL Supercup on penalties against last year’s Bundesliga runner-up, VfB Stuttgart. Die Werkself took the lead in front of 30,210 visitors at a sold-out BayArena thanks to a goal by Victor Boniface (11’). Stuttgart turned around the result after a brilliant long-range effort by Enzo Millot (18’), and with Martin Terrier (37’) sent off, Stuttgart took the lead thanks to a tap-in goal by Deniz Undav (63’). But then, in typical Leverkusen fashion, Patrik Schick equalized late in the 88th minute.

Leverkusen won the penalty shootout 4-3 after Frans Krätzig and Silas missed their spot kicks. The result means that Leverkusen remains undefeated domestically since May 27, 2023.
