The Harry Kane to Bayern Munich transfer saga continues to dominate the Bundesliga news cycle this summer. And make no mistake; this saga will continue, probably all the way to the end of the transfer window and perhaps even beyond, as Bayern might have to sign Kane as a free agent next summer. I have recently argued that the wait would certainly be worth it for Bayern. 

There are some interesting parallels between Kane potentially arriving and Jürgen Klinsmann’s transfer from Tottenham ahead of the 1995/96 Bundesliga season. Kane, in fact, could be the most transformative Bayern signing since Klinsmann. Okay, I understand why some people will raise their eyebrows over this statement. But I will try to explain it all in this article.
