The biggest transfer saga in Bundesliga history has finally found a conclusion. On Saturday morning, Harry Kane finally completed his medical and put pen to paper to a four-your contract. The English national team captain will earn €25 million a season and has cost Bayern Munich an initial €100m plus €10m in easy-to-reach add-ons and €10m in heavily performance-based add-ons.  

Those exact numbers, add-ons, and payment plans were, however, subject to change to Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy. On Thursday, Levy and the Bayern bosses finally found an agreement that seemed to suit all parties. At least that is what Bayern thought; Levy, however, would, on several occasions, go back on his deal, adjusting small matters such as payment plans and structures of the deal. But we will get to this part. 

Before we get to the drama that saw Kane stuck outside Stanstead Airport waiting for the final go to board a private chat to Munich to complete his medical and sign his paperwork, there was a moment where the deal seemed to fall apart entirely. At least those were the reports coming out of England.
