Bayern Munich have lost their final game ahead of the Champions League return leg against Real Madrid. On Saturday, Stuttgart smashed Bayern at home in front of 60,000 fans at a sold-out MHP Arena. Consistently the more dominant of the two teams, Stuttgart took the lead in the 29th minute thanks to Leonidas Stergiou’s first-ever Bundesliga goal. Harry Kane equalized from the spot after Serge Gnabry earned a penalty in the 37th minute.

Then, in the second half, Woo-Yeong Jeong scored what turned out to be the winner in the 83rd minute after a fantastic cross by Silas. Like Jeong, Silas came on in the second half, and his substitution was a tremendous tactical decision by Stuttgart boss Sebastian Hoeneß, as the winger would make it 3-1 in the 93rd minute. Gegenpressing was at the MHP Arena to take it all in. Here are our four thoughts.
