Bayern Munich are in final talks to sign talented Stade Rennais striker Mathys Tel. With personal terms already agreed with the player, it all comes down to Bayern’s director of sport Hasan Salihamidzic coming to terms with the French club. Those negotiations now appear to have come to a successful conclusion.

Negotiations were not easy; the Ligue 1 side are notorious for being a difficult negotiation partner. Bayern are expected to offer around €28 million, plus bonus payments. That sort of deal would put Tel in a similar category as Alphonso Davies, who Bayern signed from Whitecaps in a deal worth an initial €10 million with add-ons making it worth an eventual €20 million in 2018.
