The Saarland won’t be represented in the Bundesliga next season. In front of 9,970 fans at the Waldstadion an der Kaiserlinde, Bundesliga side Heidenheim beat 2. Bundesliga club Elversberg 2-1 (4-3 on aggregate) to win the Relegation Playoffs. Mathias Honsak (9’) and Leonardo Scienza (95’) scored for Heidenheim. Robin Fellhauer (31’) scored for Elversberg.
