Hasan Ismaik is set to sell his 1860 Munich shares - or is he?
It feels like Christmas for 1860 Munich fans. Hasan Ismaik has voiced his intentions to sell his shares in the club. So could Ismaik be gone soon? Maybe!
Christmas appeared to have come early for the vast majority of 1860 Munich fans this week as Jordanian investor Hasan Ismaik announced his intention to sell his shares in the club. "I want to sell the club and just be an 1860 fan," Ismaik said to German public broadcaster ARD during filming for a documentary series called ‘Rise & Fall of 1860,’ which is due to be aired in October.
Ismaik further reiterated his intentions. "I think 1860 needs someone new, they don't need Hasan," he continued, speaking in English in his office in Abu Dhabi and referring to himself in the third person. “My door is open for anyone who thinks they have the means to buy 1860. But if they don't have €200-300 million, it won't work.”
