Their 5-0 victory against Czech side Viktoria Plzen in front of 75,000 fans at the Allianz Arena means the Rekordmeister have broken Real Madrid’s record of being undefeated in 30 Champions League group stage games in a row. The result was never in doubt as early goals by Leroy Sané (7’), Serge Gnabry (13’), and Sadio Mané (21’) settled the affair quickly. Sané (50’) and Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting (59’) added more goals in the second half.
