Could Miroslav Klose be Germany's next big coaching talent?
From Sebastian Hoeneß to Fabian Hürzeler, Bayern Munich have developed many great coaches in recent years. Could Miroslav Klose be next on that list?
Both Red Bull and Hoffenheim receive significant praise for having produced some of the best coaches in the German-speaking world. The Ralf Rangnick school of thought, which is at the core of both organizations, has undoubtedly been fundamental in developing coaching talent in Austria and Germany.
At the same time, while Ralf Rangnick helped revolutionize football in Germany, Bayern Munich is right up there when it comes to producing some of the best contemporary German-speaking coaches.
Let’s just list some of the coaches who cut their teeth coaching Bayern Munich’s reserve side. Since 2012, it includes the likes of Erik ten Hag, Tim Walter, Sebastian Hoeneß, and Martin Demichelis. The latter guided River Plate to a national title in Argentina and is now coaching Liga MX’s giant Monterrey.
You can also add former St. Pauli and now Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler to that list. Although he never coached within the Bayern system, Hürzeler’s coaching style is significantly impacted by his time playing for the club’s reserve side.
