Champions League: Jadon Sancho fires Borussia Dortmund past Eindhoven
Borussia Dortmund are into the Champions League quarterfinal for the first time since 2021. It was a good night for Jadon Sancho, Marcel Sabitzer - and the Bundesliga.
Dortmund, Germany - The European version of Borussia Dortmund reappeared on Wednesday night as the Black and Yellows saw off PSV Eindhoven to reach the Champions League quarterfinals for the first time since 2021. Jadon Sancho opened the scoring, following on from his solo effort against Werder Bremen at the weekend, and generally impressed in what was his best performance since returning to Dortmund. Donyell Malen and Marcel Sabitzer also stood out in a dominant first half. Although Dortmund did allow the Eredivisie leaders to slowly come into the game after the break, Marco Reus came off the bench to seal an ultimately deserved victory with the final kick of the game.
