Can Julian Nagelsmann turn things around at Bayern Munich?
The young manager still sits top of the Bundesliga table, but his misfiring side will face formidable tests in February which may make or break their season.
Munich is one of the few cities in world football where a draw is often seen as a defeat. And on Saturday evening, Bayern Munich fans were left thoroughly disappointed in their team’s performance and ultimate result, as Eintracht Frankfurt wrestled a point from the reigning Bundesliga champions.
In isolation the result wasn’t particularly bad and when coupled with a similar result against RB Leipzig one week prior, one could perhaps argue that Julian Nagelsmann’s side had in fact weathered the storm and ensured their main domestic rivals for the league title were unable to land a critical blow. But, as we all know, things don’t work like that in the Bavarian capital.
So how much trouble are Bayern in and could we be approaching a point in which Nagelsmann’s job is no longer safe at Säbener Straße?
