Leverkusen, Germany - Bayer Leverkusen set a new Bundesliga record on Friday night, extending their unbeaten run to 33 games with a 2-1 win over Mainz 05 – although they were given a considerable helping hand by the visitors' goalkeeper Robin Zentner, who fumbled Robert Andrich's long-range effort for the winning goal. Florian Wirtz's 100th Bundesliga game was one of his quieter ones, while Andrich's fortunate strike also marked his 100th Bayer Leverkusen appearance. The Werkself are now 11 points clear of Bayern Munich, at least for a night, before the Bavarians play on Saturday.
