It has been a good week for Bayern Munich. After a 4-2 win over Heidenheim, Bayern remain unbeaten in the Bundesliga and six points clear at the top of the table. Off the pitch, the club announced record financial numbers, and it appears only a matter of time before Jamal Musiala signs a new long-term contract with the club.

"Of course, we have a great interest in keeping Musiala at Bayern Munich long term,” Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer said at the annual general meeting on Sunday. “I'm cautiously optimistic. I don't think a contract extension has ever failed because of money at Bayern.”

Going by Bayern’s financial numbers, money indeed appears to be no obstacle. The official financial numbers for the 2023/24 fiscal year include an annual turnover of €1.017 billion. That figure includes the turnover of the FC Bayern Basketball GmbH and FC Bayern München e.V. Bayern München AG, which oversees the soccer operations, announced a turnover of €951.5 million.

There is more. Bayern also announced that total profit rose by 15% to €62.7 million, and net profit increased by 21% to €43.1 million. Those numbers are a benchmark not only in German football but also in European football, especially as Bayern are one of the few clubs without any debt.
