Is Bayern Munich's Michael Olise already the best transfer of the season?
Michael Olise has had a phenomenal start to his Bayern Munich career and an argument could be made that the Frenchman might be the best transfer of the summer.
It has been a remarkable start for Michael Olise at Bayern Munich. Signed for €53m this summer from Crystal Palace, the French winger has already scored five goals and three assists in six games across all competitions for Bayern.
The numbers are even more impressive when one breaks it down to minutes played. Olise needed just 330 minutes to score his five goals and three assists. That’s a goal every 66 minutes or, rather, a goal or assist every 41 minutes. Impressive.
Sure, those numbers might be somewhat inflated by Bayern’s opposition over the last two games. First, Bayern Munich smashed Dinamo Zagreb 9-2, and Olise picked up two goals in that remarkable demolition job of the Croatian champions. Up next were Werder Bremen, who offered little to no opposition on Saturday. Olise picked up two goals and two assists in that game.
