Munich, Germany – 200,000 strong, the Tartan Army invaded Munich. But while thousands of Scotsmen celebrated at the Marienplatz, inside the Allianz, and at public viewing parties all over the city, drinking all the beer, Germany kept all three points. Coached by Julian Nagelsmann, Germany beat Scotland 5-1 thanks to goals by Florian Wirtz 1-0 (10’), Jamal Musiala (19’), Kai Havertz (45’ penalty), Niclas Füllkrug (69’) and Emre Can (90’). Antonio Rüdiger (88’ own goal) scored the only Scotland goal. Ryan Porteous was sent off (44’) for a brutal foul on Ilkay Gündogan, giving away a penalty in the process.
